No longer living in the quiet countryside, we are now quite happy living in the beautiful city of Toronto.
We still offer a fabulous collection of pieces ranging from mid-century modern design to French antiques with quite a lot in between. Interior styling and decorating is also offered.
Please check back frequently as I'll be updating with before and after photos as well as new acquisitions.

Modern Vintage Style Book Report

This is one of my favourite books currently. A book by Emily Chalmers, words by Ali Hanan and photography by Debi Treloar, it has so many of my favourite things. I've maxed out my renewals on this book at the library many times. I am so tempted to just buy it. I am holding to my word to not bring any more books into my decorating library since our house is only 1100 square feet. This book is one of those books that I could look at every day. The author, Emily Chalmers, is as passionate about vintage as I am. She offers such great options when working with older pieces, which in turn gives us a flair that is so unique to these treasures. Emily showcases a great balance in interior decorating with the contemporary and vintage.
Page 1 begins with a fabulous mix of vintage tulip base stool, original art work, dazzling chandelier and a bit of fun all encased in white walls and an expanse of glass. What's not to love?

Page 26 has an interesting vignette of beautiful chandeliers. It kind of reminds me of my garage right now. I cannot get enough of sparkling chandeliers!

Page 31 has a bright trio of floor lamps that I also love. The lamps are classic and the colours make them come alive.

Again, I'm absolutely enthralled with lighting. Look at these truly unique lights on page 34.

Page 102 showcases a beautiful foyer that is layered with character.

This living space on page 106 takes me back to my Eberts house. I adore the large windows, large artwork and open space.

On page 142 there is a sweet girl's space in bright pink. I wonder if Andrea would go for this?
