The Principle Bedroom

Our bedroom is nearing completion. I thought I would share a bit of it. As previously posted, the bedside tables are curbside finds that were given some TLC. Everything in the photos is secondhand, other than the mattress set. I will only go so far. Even the beautiful Dwell Studio bedding was found on kijiji. It was still in its original package and was a bargain compared to the original price.

The art on the wall are pieces that Jeff and I have gathered on our adventures with the exception of the top centre piece, which is one of Jeff's original photographs. I absolutely love the gameboard piece too. It is very fitting for Jeff and I; the Pirate and the Traveller.

With all the downsizing that we (mostly I) have been forced to deal with, we are aiming to only have pieces in our home that we really enjoy and that have meaning to us. It's a great way to live! Who needs mass produced commercial art? Not us.
